Duck Race

The Duck Race is an annual Chaminade hosted event. This event is a fundraiser with the purpose of trying to save Black Creek. Participators buy ducks to swim down the river and the ducks that come top 3 win amazing prizes. I have participated in this event ever since my first year in high school and I expect to participate this year as well. It is always fun to see and do.

Camp Olympia

Camp Olympia is an annual leadership camp often hosted by varying school every year. I had participated in May of 2016 and 2017. It is a great experience that really emphasizes the leadership qualities that everyone can express. This is one of the greatest experiences that I have done in high school and was very glad I had the opportunity to participate. It is in these situations where you really get to learn about others and yourself while you also develop essential skills important for the future.

Camp Manitou is Chaminade's annual Grade 9 Orientation Camp. I had participated in both 2016 and 2017 as a leader. Myself with 2 other individuals were responsible of leading, teaching, and befriending the newcomers. This is a great experience for both leader and camper as it teaches a lot of teamwork, cooperation, and learning new people.

It truly is an unforgettable experiences, especially a 3rd time.

Camp Manitou

Jake is a very important part of our school community. Our school has a charity known as Jake's House Charity which raises awareness for children with Autism. Our school hosts many school-wide events in support of Jake's House and children with autism. It really is a great charity and the event are always a great time; Chaminade would not be the same with Jake and the wonderful staff that make this happen.
